The Fillmore
The Head and The Heart are taking their Aperture Tour to The Fillmore in New Orleans. This show's going to take place on Thursday, June 12th. The Big Easy is no stranger to amazing beats and chill music, but there's nothing quite like The Head and The Heart. If you want to put this statement to the test, then you know where you need to be on Thursday, June 12th.
This tour is quite a collaborative affair; The Head and the Heart are bringing along multiple bands and solo musicians to help them cover the road trip. At this stop in New Orleans, Futurebirds will be the band that takes the stage just before the main event. Rolling Stone Magazine once labeled them “The most captivating live act touring today.” They bleed indie rock with chill beats that are going to get you in the right groove before The Head and the Heart take the stage.
Anna Graves is also going to be a part of this show. She can get up there and play the piano or her guitar and mix pop with a country feeling. This lady has a ton of talent, and she's likely going to be a star in the next few years. If you come out to The Fillmore, you're going to be able to tell your friends you spotted her before anyone else.

Unique is a word that gets thrown around a lot. As mentioned, when it comes to music, there are a ton of "unique" acts that have graced stages across New Orleans. What puts The Head and The Heart in that category? The fact that they can't be classified into a rock band or indie, alternative, or whatever you'd like to call them is a good start. They are not afraid to add synths, guitar lines, and other sounds to their music. This creates a blend of sounds that you're just not going to see replicated by other acts. If that's "unique" enough for you, then The Head and The Heart fit the bill!
Speaking of the music, The Head and The Heart are bringing a new album to town. The full release won't be for a couple of months, at least at the time of writing. At this point, though, the band has already revealed to the world a few songs from their latest material. "After the Setting Sun" and "Time With My Sins" are two of the new tracks fans have already been able to listen to. They're preaching with this new music, but it still has those low-fi sounds that the band is known for. You could say it's new music, but it features familiar sounds and vibes that you know and love from The Head and The Heart.
There will be no seats available at this event, so you have to make sure you're ready to be on your feet the entire night. If you're already going to be standing up, regardless, it might be a good idea to get access to the area closest to the stage. Sure, if you're standing up at the back of the theater, that area may be less crowded, but you might be selling yourself short—just something to think about.
